Testimonials

While serving as President of Central Texas Medical Center I had the privilege of working with Murray Kast, LPC.  Murray was an integral part of the Hospice Grief Center, as well as covering the hospital needs as one of the Chaplains. He was always so responsive to help out day or night. Murray has a special way of connecting with each person he serves.  I watched him journey with families who had lost a loved one or had emotional challenges, seeing the difference he made in their lives.  Whether it was the loss of a small baby or a loving grandparent, Murray was able to console the individual or family through their grief, all the the while teaching them necessary coping skills. I can personally recommend Murray without hesitation.

I had the pleasure of working with Murray for several years. Murray has the gift of getting to the heart of the issues, all the while demonstrating great empathy with his clients.

For the 5 years we worked together, I witnessed and admired the gift that Murray has for connecting with hospice patients and families. It takes a special talent to help families feel at ease during some of their most vulnerable moments, but for Murray it seems effortless. He compassionately guided clients through their individual grief process so they could find peace. Many former hospice families continue to reach out to express gratitude for Murray's support.

I had the great privilege of studying under Murray during practicum, internship, and my first year of licensure for counseling. To say that Murray is an outstanding therapist would be an understatement. His ability to connect with others, to express genuine empathy, and to help individuals heal from great pain is matched by few. Our work together in the hospice setting brought people going through the greatest distresses imaginable to our office. With grief often comes anxiety, depression, shame, guilt, and many other difficult emotions. Murray has great skill in identifying unspoken pain, and helping clients navigate through to healing. Day in and day out, I observed him care deeply and help hundreds of people through the art of counseling.

As the Grief Counselor, Murray helped families cope with the loss of their loved ones with great understanding and care. As the Hospice Chaplain, when serving in that role, Murray provided spiritual support with kindness and compassion, and brought comfort to patients and families at the most difficult and saddest times in their lives

Mr. Kast has been a great asset to our schools in San Marcos, TX. He has a gift working with children who are experiencing a crisis or the loss of a loved one. He has the ability to build relationships with students and assist with their unique challenges as they navigate their way through a confusing period in their lives. I highly recommend Mr. Kast as your therapist.
